couldn't have said it better myself.

scary story last night on Carte Blanche ... Ecoli levels exceeding 7000 (that's SEVEN THOUSAND) the accepted intl norm were found in the Duzi river shortly after the race this year. no wonder over 40% of the participants came down with illness shortly after the race!

40 million was allocated to fix a water treatment plant on the vaal somewhere, only to find 18months later nothing has been down and the money is now gone!

property on harties is going for a steal cause nobody dares put their foot in that water it is so polluted. in Dec '07 a girl got splashed with water from the dam whilst her family was pinic'ing ... she had to be hospitalised!

we can almost live without power ... almost ... but without clean water and sewage? not likely!

i'm finding it harder and harder to come up with reasons to stay in deep dark africa. call me the profit of doom if you like; i prefer to think of myelf as a realist. i've lost what little faith i had once in our pocket lining govt that cares only about making themselves rich whilst the poor they were meant to be "struggling" for continue to suffer.

welcome to Jhb my friend, the newest suburb of Zimbabwe!
